Late in 2020 I was commissioned to film a series of videos for the council's Mayor's Awards. In pre-covid times, this would have been a public event, but this year things (all of them!) would be different.
Throughout December and January, I filmed several of the nominees and re-edited previously shot films of another set of nominees. It was an honour to meet and work with some truly inspiring people in my local community - from a student live-streaming his piano-playing to lift the spirits of elderly local residents, to barbershop owner Ziggy, who turned his premises into a foodbank.
