March for the Alternative
On March 26 2011, 250,000 people made their way to London to protest the excessive cuts the government is imposing on public sectors. The majority of the day was peaceful. In the early afternoon, a group of breakaway self-defined anarchists began to smash windows and hurl ammonia and paint bombs in front of Topshop, The Ritz Hotel and several other places in between.
